Dash lights software flash update

So I just had my oil changed on my 19 moab. When done the service adviser told me there was an update to the dash light software that just came out. They were too busy to do it while I was there waiting so I scheduled it for another day. I asked what it did and he told me he didn't know, WTH. Anybody know what this is for?
