Maybe I am being too picky but a couple things that are a bit annoying that a software update could likely solve.

Fist, when my headlights are on, I find the dash lights to be too dim (even when I have the setting turned up). If you turn it up until the dial clicks, then you put the dash lights into daytime mode and that is too bright for night driving. Needs a happy medium.

Second, when you set the headlights to come on with the wipers (in the UConnect settings) the dash lights dim during the daytime making it harder to see. You then have to manually turn the dimmer switch all the way up until it clicks into the daytime setting at full brightness but then have to adjust it out of the daytime setting at night. kind of annoying.

Curious if others have experienced these same nuances.

You know, I have a Ram 1500 EcoDiesel Limited - and it is just about the best vehicle I have ever owned. I have only two pet-peeves with it. The first is the lights - for exactly the reason you mention. If you are driving through dusk into the evening, there is a period of time when you need to reach down and turn up the dash lights to this max position. Then, a little while later when it is really dark outside, you need to reach back down and adjust them back again. Why haven't they figured this out yet??? BTW, the second pet-peeve is the horn. It is wired into the CANBUS system. As such, it is IMPOSSIBLE to give a friendly "toot" or "toot-toot". The horn HAS to blare for what seems like a full second or second and a half. This is annoying and I hope the JL is not the same way.

I agree with you on the brightness of the dash lighting especially at dusk/dawn. I am surprised at that the lights come on when the outside light level is still quite high - higher than I would turn on the lights manually. This dims the dash to an uncomfortable level. I know I can adjust it into the 2nd position with the switch but why should i need to do that. There should be a sensitivity setting somewhere to fix/improve this.

I came from a 17 RAM and cqn account for the horn. The JL horn is so quick and punny but I love it .

No not too bright, it is too dim. With the headlights on Auto the jeep is ultra-sensitive and turns on the headlights even though there is plenty of daylight. When the jeep turns the headlights on the dash lights dim but because there is still plenty of daylight the dim level is very low, IMO. Of course you can use the dimmer switch but you need to click it in a position that will be too bright and when it does get darker out and then you have to toggle it back down. I would rather not to need to adjust the dimmer levels every time i leave work just because it is dusk out. Just was looking for a way to adjust the auto-headlight sensitivity down a bit...its way more sensitive than other vehicles. This is not an end of the world issue, just a comment.

Agreed, it took me a while to get used to the dim dash. I kept messing with the dimmer but finally got it right.

Hi All, First time Jeep owner here so take it easy on me. Curious if anyone has figured out the dim dashboard lighting situation. I have the issue where the dash lights seem to be just a bit too dim and the one click too bright. Not sure if there is a fix or if the dealer can do anything to fix it.

I think the lights aren't right enough if you need to like read a map or look at something in your console they are not bright enough like you said
