Took our 392 in bc of locker sensor light blinking, like I have seen on many. They called and said the sensor is bad, but they will not cover under warranty bc the jeep is lifted, and "the lift kit has stretched the wires out" lol. I see there is a TSB on this issue, and countless issues on here and JT forum regarding the problem. Do I have a gripe to fix under warranty since there is a TSB, or just count my losses?
Anyone have experience with the Zautomotive locker sensor bypass harness?
Out of 4 JL/JT rubicons, this is the first time I have experienced this issue.

I see people going to the route of the Z Automotive than dealership.
The good thing is that if the dealership doesn't wanna touch because is lift ( I call BS), there's the Z Automotive way.

Less struggle with the bypass IMO

I still remember when dealership used to say that if you wanna install 2.5 inch lift of higher, have to be done by them because you could lose your warranty, specially the powertrain.

I'm using the z-automotive bypass and it works great. That said if I were you I would keep pushing on the warranty coverage. It is a VERY common issue that they should not blame on a lift kit. Have them pull the cover and look at the sensor. If the sensor is full of oil ask them how a lift or pulled wires could have filled the sensor full of oil.

Yes, I'm gonna push the TSB. Another thing they said, which all in a voicemail I didn't get until they were gone, was the lift "stretched" the wires out?!? Dawned upon me, if the wires are just compromised, why the need for a sensor, and not just new harness? Lots of things to discuss when they call me in the morning!

I blew out my rear locker on my 392 with a 3.5" lift and 37s and the dealership replaced the whole thing under warranty without questions. When I asked them at what point they would've denied the warranty, I was told that no dealership can deny warranty, only FCA.

I told them to go ahead and get a transfer case on order because it's going next.

I kind of thought that was the case, and this was a subjective call by the service manager. This dealer has always been mod friendly, and was bought out by a very large national dealer a year ago, and have been pricks ever since.

Go somewhere else. They wouldn't have changed the carrier to a non-sensor version on the 392s if there wasn't an issue.

When was that change made?
Problem with going to another dealer, the only other one within an hour drive is worse than the one I took it to.

Time for a call to Jeep Cares. Sometimes it helps.

get the by pass and no longer worry about being left stranded. This issue was the exact reason i will not buy a rubicon. picked up a sportS and made it a rubicon for less than the price of one and my lockers just work. The computer has no clue i have lockers and its great.

It's my understanding that the updated carrier that they use when they replace it doesn't use the sensor. My actual mechanic did say my Jeep doesn't require the sensors once when I asked him if I should carry a Z but since I didn't have an issue at the time, I wasn't paying attention to details.

Well, after pointing the TSB out to the service manager, and asking for a better explanation of their lame reason of the wires being stretched bc of the lift causing the sensor to be bad, they have decided to replace the sensor under warranty. Still ordering the Tazer bypass however.

Have them show you the bad sensor and see if there is oil inside.

I was going to recommend you do this exact same thing, nice work. If it is a wiring harness issue then the problem will still be there after the sensor is replaced and you can easily go under and extend the wires yourself. I have seen lift kits cause stretched and broken harnesses before, but jumping right to that conclusion with zero diagnostic work is lazy. Especially when the sensor issue is comically common.
