Does anyone know if there is a bracket for the lower portion of the chopped front fender?
there is not, if it’s feeling wobbly, then the AAL hardware kit (nutserts to replace the white clips) is what you’d want. Cheers

Does anyone know if there is a bracket for the lower portion of the chopped front fender? To give it more stability to fender itself!
This is from a previous post.

@Roky utilized lower bracket from removed inner.

Roky - When I did the AALlight kit and fender chop I didn’t like the way the bottom of fender was flopping in the wind going 60-70 down the highway so I modified the honeycomb brace that’s in oem inner fender and reused it. AAL doesn’t address this, and most guys don’t care that it’s so flimsy, but my ocd wasn’t gonna let it slide. I have two little button head bolts showing on my fender but it looks ok to me, there’s one that comes on the light brace anyway. You do t have to do this, but wanted to put it out there, so you don’t throw out that brace in case you decide to do it at some point......... here’s pic of brace and the two bolts.....

Thank you brother, I will be getting those as well. I haven't done the fender chop yet, but I will have to since I messed up my fenders on the trail. ??? Cheers.

Thank you brother, this is exactly what I was looking for. I will contact Roky to get more info on it. My OCD is pretty bad as well. :muscle: :muscle: :muscle: Cheers.

I apologize if this has been answered, I scrubbed this forum and did not find a definitive answer. Will a month or so of highway driving do significant damage to the front fenders without an aftermarket support bracket or nutserts? Does anyone have pics of damage?

I am ordering the AAL brackets in a month or so, but I already have my 37's on and I want to split the fenders to see how bad the rubbing is. Thanks!!

The wind more than likely will rip them off.

If your going to ditch the inner fenders anyway, just leave them on for now. A little rubbing and gouging of them isn't going to matter one bit

I've been driving with the front chopped for a week without issues. I don't plan on ever getting one of the support brackets, but I will be reinforcing the bottom like @Roky and getting the AAL hardware kit.
