I was wondering if anyone had cut their fenders yet, and if so how did you handle the light? Is there a light relocation kit out there anywhere?

Not light relocation kit yet.
This is with 40s and trimmed fenders, losing the lights.
I am hoping Bushwaker will come up with something. They integrated sider turn signals very well for the JK so I would think they will integrate front ones also for the JL

Dude that looks great! How'd you do it? And did you buy a trim kit for it and from where?

Oh no, sorry didn't mean to mislead anyone. This is not my rig. I doubt this will flex without major rubbing. The shop I used to mod my JK is experimenting until more parts are out. I was just sharing that the fenders can be trimmed-but no lights.

No worries! I'm hoping to find someone who has done it so i can find out how they did it, there is a trim kit you can buy at pep boys for after they are cut, and I want to find more out about that as well

I don’t think those are cut, the rubicon fenders are 2 pieces and you can remove the bottom half. Correct me if I’m wrong.
You are right. It's just the Sahara and Rubicon that have the two piece flares. The sport though has the same lines from what I saw. Just follow the line and trim away. Just a note the flares when separated are a little flimsy since all the support is removed. They are plastic welded together. Just a few good tugs and they split in two. I did a quick temp led light up in the fender for now. When it gets back from its trip I have a more permanent solution to it

That looks nice man! Is there anything to do to remedy the flimsiness and make it a little stronger?

I didn't have enough time to really look into it before it went to ejs. When it comes back I'll mess with it and see what I can come up with.

Got any updated photos during the day you can share? Did you drill a hole and integrate a small blinker into the flare?

Ended up getting some brackets from artec. Fixed the floppy fender issue and added some marker lights at the same time.

Perfect we were thinking of getting the artec kit as well. Do you have any shots further distance away so so we can see how it looks with the body lines of the jeep? Did you do artec inner fender liner as well?

Mine is missing a bracket that the artec piece would bolt to. Cut it off before we left for moab before I knew they used that. One day I'll design another piece to put in place. Even without that though it is really sturdy.

The inners are also artec. They fit great and look really good.
