Anyone currently or have run the Currie LD60? I am looking at this axle as I want the strength of a 60 but want to keep the 5x5 bolt pattern. I know low pinion isn't the strongest, but this could be an excellent setup for the price. My current build is 2021 JLU with stock 38s and bead locks. Currently, it's in the shop for a 392 swap.

Thanks!

LP in the rear is what you want, my friend runs it, on 40's now and planning to go to 42. If i were you though i'd spend the money and go with a full float. He and I run the semi float but we're also on stock horsepower. Since you're putting in a 392 you're much better off going full float. You can sell your beadlocks easily and get 8 lug.

Awesome to hear about the Currie. I did check out the Fusion as well, as it is in stock lol.

Never bent a flange? I went with the Fusion 4x4 semi float with the 40 spline shafts, same as Currie.
How are you liking it? Any issues thus far?

Nope...no issues. And it was the LS3 crate motor with the hot cam so right around 480hp (felt like more though). From what I read low pinion is the way to go.

It's been running great, in addition to the larger ring and pinion and shafts the housing and brackets are much bigger so it gives me alot more peace of mind when I'm sliding over something. There is zero delay with the locker which is also awesome.

Yeah just trying not to go to 8 lug if I can help it. Sounds like the currie or fusion rear 60 that keeps the 5x5 might be just the ones to go with.

Just not sure what to run up front. I ordered some RCV shafts for the stock rubi 44. Sucks they are 5 months backordered.

Truss it for now and put in the arb diff cover which helps stiffen up the housing. As long as your careful you’ll be fine

Ok, awesome. I do have it trussed upfront. Thinking I should be as when I am wheeling, I won't have my foot it in. The rear axle is mainly so I can put my foot on back roads or daily driving.

I have a set on order. Been waiting 8 months. Sounds like they will be done soon.

What did you end up going with? I’m thinking of getting the Currie semi float rear as well and eventually getting the one for the front.

I want to run 40s more safely on my diesel lol.

Jeep is going into the shop on Tuesday. Getting my front 60 and LP 60 installed. Going up another inch to 3.5. New drive shaft and Currie steering kit. Next saving up for a Rock Jock long arm kit. Currently running a Clayton lift kit.
