Somehow I weaseled my way into being off every Monday at work, which allows me a lot more free time without the kids.

Initially I was going to go to Bridgeport Texas Northwest ohv, but looks like they're only open Saturdays and Sundays right now. Looks like Barnwell is closed Monday Tuesday Wednesday as well.

Crossbar is only 2 hours away from me, 30 minutes more than Bridgeport.

Not doing anything crazy, and I got to be home by 4:00, and I'm currently running without a winch. Going to leave the house at 7:30 and then whenever I get there I get there.

If you want to join, if you're not working, let me know. I'm sure we can exchange numbers if I don't already have your number, and we can do some wheeling together.

Oh man, Milos looks like fun.

I was thinking about texting you, but at the same time I thought it was supposed to start raining at like 3pm tomorrow, instead of what it's doing which is raining there right now, and then all day tomorrow too.

I didn't want to be a buzz kill and be like I'm not staying very long. But chances are depending how mucky it is out there, I probably won't stay super long. If it's real bad, I'll probably just stick to the main roads and drive around for like 2 hours before I head home.

Have you ever been out there in the rain?

How bad does it get?

I'm going regardless, just you know I might end up having to stick to the main roads.

The Great American Crawl event is going on at crossbar in august. I'm not sure if I'm going to go to the event specifically or just go on a separate day. Having Mondays off kind of makes it nice, I can go on quiet days.

It handles rain well and makes the creeks awesome. It's not like Bridgeport.

Well, it's official! I'm in love with Crossbar Ranch.

It's like the hardest stuff at Northwest OHV is the middle grade shit at Crossbar.

I will definitely be going back next month for sure!

For the last hour and a half or so I was lost in the Northern section of the park, trying to find my way back to the main road with no signal on my phone.

They have some racecourse thing here that I was following as it turns out, trying to get back to the main road before I hit these 2'-3' rock faces and I was like nahhhh, and turned around, and that's how I got back to the main road somehow. Mostly through luck.

Trails are very poorly marked, if at all.

I'm currently in the process of watching videos to see if I did those obstacles, other than a couple general signs pointing in directions, unless you know the obstacle, they don't really identify where exactly you are in the park, which is exactly why I got so dang lost trying to get back to the gatehouse.

Dude it's really hard to tell where the hell I was..

Even then, as is the norm they don't look terribly complicated even though they weren't easy. I mean choose the right line, and avoid the major drops, and know how much clearance you have where underneath your vehicle.

I'll have to go back here soon with a friend and maybe they can tell me what the f*** I did.

So I get the feeling it's going to end up being that I did the stuff that you do on the way to the obstacle. You know like if you can't make it over this you're definitely not going to make it over the obstacle sort of stuff.
