Hi all, this is a total noob question so I really appreciate your help with this. I’m new to doing my own mods. Last week I wired my first light to my Aux 3 button under the dash. I’d like to add additional internal lights to the same Aux button. i’ve checked the amps and they’re very low 3+2 so I’m good there. But I don’t know how to get two different light wires powered from the one wire under my dash. Can I just twist all three wires together and ground the two black wires? Or do I need to purchase some type of splitter?

also, can the two ground wires be grounded to the same bolt and touching or do they need to be not touching each other.

thanks for helping an electricity noob out and not laughing at me too hard. I did try to Google this, but this must apparently be such a basic knowledge issue nobody has. explained it.

Yes..make a good connection of all positive to the source.

For ground, either combine or separate depending on install.

There are many ways to make a good connection, and more to make a wrong one. Electricity doesn't care if you make it look pretty, but you might.

Just make sure that positive wires will not short to ground. Make sure they won't bounce loose.

To illustrate my point, this is a "good" connection that isn't a smart one.
