Going through my owners manual packet and noticed the subscription paperwork for Sirius xm. Issue is I don’t have that on on my Uconnect 7in screen. My question is how do I get this functionality? Also saw on my window sticker the connected services delete credit. IMO $165 credit doesn’t make up for the missing equipment for connected services

Welcome to the forum!

Did you factory order the Jeep, or did you buy it off the lot?

Deleting Sirius XM is a special request on a factory order.

If you bought the Jeep off the lot like that, it seems it was someone else’s factory order.

Why would anyone need to delete Sirius/XM from a build? Can't imagine it would be that hard to just unplug the satellite antenna or remove the module it's connected to.

Might be the SiriusXM Guardian service and not the actual SirusXM Music functionality.

I’m assuming it’s tied to the chip shortages. How would I activate the satellite radio in Uconnect if it’s not even showing up on the menu?

On the radio tab (AM/FM/USB, etc), you don't have SiriusXM or maybe SXM listed as an input? I'm sure Sirius wouldn't be too happy if Jeep is now selling vehicles w/o that antenna, even in a chip shortage situation.

I don’t see it on mine. I was a bit surprised as well because I came from a 2022 Altima and nissan pretty much has it in all of their vehicles.

It was off the lot. Didn’t appear to be a custom order

I know people who purposely don’t want modern electronics in their vehicles.

Dealers can easily reprint the window sticker. You would never know if someone else ordered it.

The Sirius-capable radio and 6 month subscription was a discrete extra-cost option (one that I didn't avail myself of) when I was configuring my Jeep. Nothing required deleting, so to speak. I simply didn't add it to the factory vehicle order.

My Owner's Manual packet, which was provided in shrink-wrap form in the glovebox, included the same satellite radio docs that you mention. That's likely because the same packet is provided in/for every vehicle delivery. I simply disregarded the forms that didn't apply to my build.

If you're expecting functionality on your new Jeep that you don't have, give the dealer a call to request assistance on the matter.

That would be my first step.
After that (if you have it), pull fuse 97 and let the radio reset. It takes a little time - the Uconnect relearns everything you have available.
If you have the antenna and do a reset that might clear it up. After that it’s a matter of calling SiriusXM (always fun! :/) and getting your subscription going.

Yeah, I can understand that, but it's essentially impossible these days.

I have no desire for sat radio either and opted not to install it when I upgraded my last stereo, but it seems just as easy to uninstall the antenna and module (and still have it for resell) versus requesting it as something that's no longer an option for custom orders.
