IF I could get the 392 in a JLR SWB I feed me ego with it, why not. The 392 today is what the 426 hemi was around 2004-2006 stuffed in a TJR only it had near ZERO reliability to it.
Get THIS: I had one guy who contacted me to go on one of my Moab 7++ Trail runs, ending up on the last day in Pritchett Canyon. He says he have a custom TJR built in the US and he flying in from Australia. OK see there. He shows up with is maxed out TJR...IIRC some shop in Dallas built it??? He flies in picked up and drives to Moab. He showd that moring at the meeting place every one oooos and ahhhhs over his rig. Forgot which trail we started on day one, but it was a 7 rated.
He wants to follow me and Ok, don't care less than 100 yards past the trail head, Hemi Man breaks. He calls for a wrecker and I tell him to call later that day I will come get him.
He ended up flatbedding it back to the folks who built it, cost was around $50k for the build, suspension everything. He had ordered the TJR from a dealer in Dallas and they arranged for it to be built for him, they had a shop they used. He had $75k tied up in it...
