That’s what I thought. What a shame. Well I guess if I get another I’ll throw in an ACT immediately.

I had the recall done when the early parts became available. aside from being screwed for 65 days by the dealer. its been fine since i took it back after adding my gear and tire sizes. ive done well over 1500 miles from rock crawling to overlanding with full camping gear for a week. Jeep has done great. have about 8K miles total since the recall. I do not daily my jeep though. Its my second vehicle due to the company truck i take home daily

I went Jeep camping/wheeling for four days with our local Jeep club at Uwharrie National Forest in NC this past week. The club is a highly experienced and capable bunch of wheeler/rock crawlers. I'm more of a overlander type. One of the guys has a Willis he completely rebuilt and what he can do with it on some very difficult trails is stunning. He also has a Gladiator with a manual transmission. He told me he got the new recall clutch at the local Jeep dealer recently. He said the recall included a new clutch disk, pressure plate, flywheel, throw out bearing etc and a computer flash. His comment to me was that it drives like a different vehicle in all the right ways. The clutch feels better. It has less of a tendency to stall. He said the new flywheel is heavier than the original flywheel. He was very pleased with the result. He has a lot of credibility with me.

I have been sitting on my recall notice like many others. 52,000 miles on our JLUR and no issues. I called the dealer and they have ordered the parts. When it comes in I'll get the recall done.

I have been driving a MT all my life. Decades. So I know what I am doing when it comes to driving a MT. But what I have is a known quantity. Like everyone else I am anxious about it because I don't really know what I am getting with the new clutch.

I'll post an update when it's complete.

Have you gotten the "Service Transmission" warning at all?

You are lucky. They are replacing my clutch again because the replacement is slipping at 3000 rpms. So hopefully that solves the problem.
That’s not good. Sounds like it was not installed correctly or maybe not bled correctly. Hopefully they get you dialed in quick. My original trip for the recall was 65 days my Jeep sat at the dealer with no rental car

That's what I thought too but then I was reading about the bad replacement clutches that went out for the recall. It sounds like I got one of those.
