When I went with larger wheels my speedo read wrong as expected until I used a programmer to change the wheel size in the PCM. I changed the axle ratio from 4.10 to 4.56 and my speedo is still accurate. I'm going to program the axle ratio but am curious as to what it effected by not doing this? Why does the vehicle need to know this when everything seems to be fine as is? How do you know that your entry using a programmer has been accepted and entered properly?
