The weather has been below 0 in the NorthEast the past few days. Last night, on my way back home on the freeway, my battery went from 14.3 V to 11.6 V in a matter of a 30 sec and the CEL came on. I was able to drive all the way home without issues. This morning, the car cranked with no issues and the battery went back to 14.7 V at idle and 14.5 V while freeway driving. However, the CEL light is still on. Does anyone know if it's normal for the CEL to stay on and clear on its own or should I get the code scanned? What are the chances there's a bigger issue? The Jeep is only 6 months old.
