Looking into this nowWhen I try to check out it is not taking the discount code
Did you do away with the 1 ton kit or am I thinking of someone else?We have had great feedback with this steering. Even at its full retail price we are on the lower end of the cost spectrum for similar upgrades for a made in the USA kit!
We worked on the design and iterations of this kit for nearly 2 years and believe we have one of the best / most economical systems on the market. Here are some throwback pictures of both our JL and JT testing the steering out in Moab
Dont forget you can use the forum discount code (JLFORUM) to save 10% off the steering!
Must be thinking of someone else.Did you do away with the 1 ton kit or am I thinking of someone else?
Let me know how you make out with it. I have a new two door Rubicon JL stock but I am getting the Clayton lift and some 17 inch wheels (17 by 8.5) with 5.2 backspacing and +10mm offset and would like to get this system. Will run 35/ 11.50 tires.Could not pass these up, just ordered!!!
Thank you.
Got the tierod and drag link installed last weekend. Then had the alignment dialed in earlier this week. Overall, pretty easy install (getting the drag link removed from the pitman arm took the most time, AutoZone tool rental for the win). Ended up adding some 45 and 90-degree zerk fittings as the ones provided don't allow for easy access with everything installed. Only used one that was provided on the ball joint under the pitman arm. Overall, great kit for the money. Just keep in mind the tierod sleeve is a beefy 2". So, it's a little bit more of a pain relocating your steering stabilizer but is doable.
But that's more work! In all seriousness, not a huge deal, just a personal preference. If you turn towards the passenger side, you can access the grease zerk on the draglink knuckle end with the straight fitting provided.
Where did you have to relocate the stabilizer to?
The tie rod end has 2 holes for the stock stabilizer to bolt on with the factory brackets and bolts.
did you have to do something different?
