Do you have a wife at home? Use her blow dryer, heat the bolts, tap the bit in. Then in my opinion use/get a hand impact. Maybe harbor freight. Hand impacts are designed to rotate as you smack the back of them with a hammer, and it should spin it loose.

Used correctly I can about guarantee you a hand impact will break them free on the first strike of the hammer. You shouldn't have to hit it that hard either, so as not to damage the gate.

Mine wouldn't budge with a 1/2" Kobalt cordless impact, then came loose almost immediately with a short breaker-bar. Since then I've joined the M18 master race, but I would be interested in seeing how these tools handled the bolts.

This is what I've used on many uncooperative bolts and screws.

Can't tell you..shhh
I had the same issue installing a jack bracket. What everyone said above worked for me. Take your Torx 55 and hammer it in and put a breaker bar on it. The hand impact wrench is a good idea as well. I initially had the wrong size Torx and bratted the bolt a little but after a whack with a hammer the right Torx bit seated and it popped right off with a breaker bar.

I was just about to write the same exact thing. The T55 didn't seem to fit, so I used the next size down and the bolt started to strip. Took the T55, hammered that thing in, used a breaker bar and it worked, thankfully.

Then I had a beer.... then another.

Ha thanks everyone. Good to know t55 is the right one. I did order impact driver and heat gun. So between those and a hammer surely I can get them out.

Just to close this out - ended up tapping t55 torx into bolt with a hammer as some of you suggested and used a breaker bar - worked like a charm. I had used the impact driver but it didn’t work.
