Morning all.
Conversations on Cam Bus replacement 2019 Jeep wrangler 2.0 leads me to this question.
I replaced the cam Bus after dash lit up like a Christmas tree, would not shift out of park and when it did lost of power to 15 MPH was all I could get.
Found it was most prevalent when I used the remote start. Has anyone had electrical issues after replacing the green Cam Bus?
Only issue I see is the Cam Bus has not been updated and is same as original one.

There's nothing that needs to be updated for the CANBUS.

If you are still having electrical issues, are you still running on original batteries? OEM batteries main and aux (if you have one) are known to only have a lifespan of 3 years. If yours are original, you are long overdue.

Consider changing the main only and bypassing the aux battery (if you have one):

You can leave the disconnected/bypassed aux battery in place without issue.

Morning. Yes, first thing I replaced was main battery and that's when I realized I don't have an auxiliary battery as some Jeeps don't have them. I am not having issues right now but hesitant on traveling out of state. Don't know if they need to upgrade cam bus connectors or wiring.

Yes, Canbus. Typing error calling it cam bus.

Yes, that's my understanding also.
There will be a battery on the underside of the vehicle, along the frame rail, and a belt-start generator (in lieu of an alternator) in the engine bay. It's an easy visual check.

Thank you, that is a good thing to know in case any issues arise in the future. I was told there was a generator instead of alternator. Now I'm keeping tabs on it and hopefully will feel confident once again about traveling out of state.
Thanks for the conversation and have a great day.

I have a 2019 JLU and had all of the warning lights going off at sporadic times. I would be driving and also loose the speedometer, tach and gas gauge would go to empty. Took it a local repair shop and they tried to diagnose it with no success.
I really appreciate this forum as it helped me considerably and I appear to have fixed the issue. First I opened the fuse fuse box in engine compartment and made sure all fuses and relays were seated. Then replaced aux battery and that seemed to help for a day or two. Then replaced the main battery and again it was good for a day or two.
One morning I was going to go to work and jumped in the Jeep and it started fine but would not shift out of park. I tried shutting it off and restart many times still no help. Called both the repair shop and a local dealer and they both said tow it in and we can see what we can do. So instead I decided to look on this site and found out about the can bus. I dropped the glove box pushed down on the wires and plugs to make sure they were seated and tried restarting it and it worked perfectly. I have since replaced both the green and the white can bus and have not had a single issue since. Thank you all again.

I Have the same Year Jeep with the same issue. Where did you order the Can Bus from? I can't get my in to the repair shop for another week. I am wanting to try and solve the issue myself and save a few bucks.
