Can we not "burp" our coolant?

I just bought a coolant burping kit from amazon. After I searched more, since we do not have a standard radiator cap, we cannot burp our system like most automobiles. Reason I want to try is because when the jeep is at idle, it sometimes does not blow hot air from the heater. I read that there may be air in the coolant system, causing intermediate heat problems, and can also cause overheating problems (we currently do not have that problem).
If I have it flushed from a dealer, will this fix any "air pockets" that is in the system? I know some mechanics run a chemical through, and just drain and refill. Any suggestions?

Unless there was recent service, there should be no air in there. On mine, occasionally, the climate control is lagging or not responsive. I typically run a blend hi/low air flow. Fan speeds at 3 or higher work better with this setting. Floor heat, not a problem. Note: I have the split system, driver and passenger separate, although when by myself they are set the same.

As Jeffy56 pointed out automatic environment control will do that. If you have this in your jeep put the temperature to max instead of a predefined number

I'm recalling an issue with the blend door that turned into a TSB regarding no heat output. Try searching the forum and see if any of the discussions sound like the issue you're having.

First rule out that it's not the climate control modulating the heat output to maintain a set temperature as described in an earlier post.

These cooling systems will burp themselves. Keep an eye on the recovery/overflow tank and make sure it's at the proper level when cold.
