Cabin on Rubicon Trail

Wanting to do the trail next year, but need a place with bed to do overnight stay since it takes multiple days to do the rubicon. (no camping) Can someone share any info on reserving a cabin, etc for a night on trail. There will be 3 of us. Thanks!

Sorry man. I *just* got off the trail yesterday, and as others have said, there's simply no cabin to be had for love or money along the trail.

If you look at the satellite view, you'll probably see a few buildings on the RTF property, but they are for the caretakers, and/or simple shade pavilions for the camping area.

they make some pretty comfortable blow up mattresses as well as fold out cots. might not be as good as a serta perfect sleeper but we do a lot of camping and i am close to your age.

Its actually not myself that says no more camping. Wife says no way!! I'd do it.....

K, if there's no cabin on trail, what would y'all recommend as far as a RV park for a 40ft motorhome in the area? Maybe I can get family close and they'll want to do the trail not matter.

look around Georgetown. We stayed there the night before we hit the trail...I suppose if going in the other way look around Lake Tahoe

Been looking, not knowing the area at all its hard to decide\know where the best locations are for staying near the trail\nature action. It also looks like most are state parks and they won't let me reserve next year yet.

We are coming from Vegas direction heading toward pacific coast on next stage of trip.
