Nicely done. That Hard Truth is very good. I had never heard of them until about a year ago and just finished my bottle. And I live about 20 min away from BT.

My choice for a more daily drinker Irish is Jameson Black Barrel.OK guys, I know this is a bourbon thread, but is anyone interested in Irish whiskey? Even this far from St Patty's Day, I'll enjoy a dram occasionally.
I'm far from an authority, but there are a couple of medium priced offerings I really like:
1. Redbreast 12
2. Bushmills 12 Single Malt
What are your favorites?
Just recently got my hands on this. You're right, it's very good.My choice for a more daily drinker Irish is Jameson Black Barrel.
Very nice haul, we never see Stagg up hereMy son and I went to the Black Friday drop at Tower Liquors in Atlanta. First time for us. We got there about 6:30am for the 8am opening. Probably in the upper 200s in line with about 100 behind us at opening. We did 3 laps through the store and this was our haul.

I bought Green River several years ago when no one even knew about it. Their rep happened to be in my frequent liquor store talking about it and selling it to them. I bought a bottle then. I think I posted here or on a different forum and said for the money it is a great bourbon. Needless to say I was laughed at like I was some Gin drinking loser popping into a bourbon thread. Bourbon does not have to be expensive to be good. My favorite bourbon still to this day is McKenna that is not that expensive (well it is increasing because more are finding out how good it is)Green River Wheated was awarded Best in Class at the 2025 New York World Spirits Competition!
I hear the top awards can be “bought” so many people don’t always care about the ranking. However, what got my attention is this bottle runs $30. So I had to try this wheated bourbon.
A wheated bourbon is a style of bourbon whiskey that uses wheat as the secondary grain in its mash bill instead of the more common rye.
Bottle was gone in two days. Not bad. Would definitely buy again.

Back when the distillery was OZ Tyler and they were messing with rapid aging and TerrePure, it was not good. Evidently, it was the rapid aging and not the distillate, because I have had sourced OZ Tyler with normal 7-9yr aging from ShortBarrel and it's fantastic.I bought Green River several years ago when no one even knew about it. I have a specific recommendation: Jose Cuervo Family Reserve.Good to know. I have had some good tequila over the years, but I never thought to nail down how to select a bottle. I am putting your reply in my notes to reference in the future.
Big Thanks.
I know what you mean. 23 years ago I went into a liquor store. The store attendant recommended a new vodka from Texas. He said it was good and great quality at an unbeatable price. That bottle was Tito’s, and it has gone up considerably since then and won many awards.I bought Green River several years ago when no one even knew about it. Looks like my local TotalWines has both the wheated and cask strength. Will have to give them a try.I've seen the Green River around but had never heard of it, I'll have to grab one next time I see it
