The Big Bear trails have not reopened. The closure of the SBNF is scheduled to expire at midnight on 9/22. HOWEVER, with Santa Ana winds forecast in next few days, it could very likely be extended. Here's a link to the SBNF web site:

Thanks for sharing. i had a wheeling trip planned for rowher last weekend. We postponed it to the next. might have to postpone again.

there is talk that it will be extended until the end of the month now. but nothing official
