Going back a couple weeks I managed to bust one of the J Hooks on my Trektop. Went to the manufacturer to buy a new one and they wanted almost $19 to ship an $11 piece of plastic. My principles just couldn't abide by this so I started trying to find an alternative source. Enter automotivestuff.com. They offered the part for just shy of $25 with free shipping. While paying double still incensed me I called it better than paying nearly triple and placed an order. Fast forward to today and they sent an email stating I had a "rural address" and therefore they needed to charge me nearly $25 additional shipping. I have never been told weeks after placing an order that I need to pay additional shipping charges. I would advise anyone thinking about ordering something from these folks to reconsider.
