I agree... I love the softtop in the summer but by the end of the summer season I look forward to reinstalling the hardtop and Sunrider as tailgate access is so much easier.I personaly love softtop, but access to the trunk through the rear window is completely useless.
Yea removing and installing the rear window is much easier on this model over the previous Trektop NX model with window zippers.Prior version had zips on both sides. I like what they did on this version
No problem when in safari mode without windowsI personaly love softtop, but access to the trunk through the rear window is completely useless.
If you leave it on year round it gets easier and easier to pop it open with time.I agree... I love the softtop in the summer but by the end of the summer season I look forward to reinstalling the hardtop and Sunrider as tailgate access is so much easier.
Probably the easiest soft top to raise and lower that I’ve owned which includes YJ, TJ, JK and even the factory JL soft top. Multiple spring assists make it easy as well as the pivot design. How hard is it to fully retract this top? Can it be fully retracted to a down position and put back up with one person?
This is the answer. No doors and in safari mode makes the Jeep just right. No problem when in safari mode without windows![]()
pretty sure I spotted your jeep this week , cause the roof caught my eye. It was either at Homestead waterfront ,on Sunday morning, or in Cranberry yesterday. If it wasn’t you you have a twin! And the hardtop stored away until the Fall …

Must have been a twin … I’m on the other side of the state. But I’ll be out that way next week for the Bantan Jeep Festival !!!pretty sure I spotted your jeep this week , cause the roof caught my eye. I'd love to see pics of this in safari mode. I was just looking at my Jeep yesterday, with standard soft top in safari mode thinking how dumb it was to have the rear extension. I dont even have the back seat installed. This is the answer. No doors and in safari mode makes the Jeep just right.
I don’t have a picture of my JEEP in Safari mode but here is an image from Bestop’s site …I'd love to see pics of this in safari mode. I find the overhang looks better on the 2 door when the doors are off though, less sheet metal helps the proportions

Poser Rock for sure, but the JK one is Dickey Bell as of about 5 or 8 years back. Daniel wasn't much of anything when I had the JK. The V-notch used to look like a dirt road back then:Thanks. Bonus points for backside of Daniel and poser rock pics!
