Thanks for the review. These have a quality, OEM look. Just ordered a set this morning.
I just ordered a set of these Rugged Ridge Locking Hood Catch RGR-11210.32 as well. Some protection is better than no protection IMO. Thanks all for the reviews and pics.

Interesting... Looking at the pics posted with hood latch locks. All of yours have an indentation for the latch. My hood is just smooth with no indentation. Why is that?

Id love a hood lock on mine. But the front camera is far more important. The Lasfit one would work for me, but an air activated lock seems odd to me. No thank you.

I saw a hood lock online somewhere with a no grill cut solution. They just gave you a really long key. I think thats a great idea since the key hole cover is kind of ugly to look at. But who knows about the quality and it still doesnt work with the front camera.

Nope dealer parts guy has no clue. No surprise there. The Mopar lock allows you to remove the key.

We had ours put in way before the Bolt knock-off was fully designed for the JL and available for sale.

Shame Jeep was not smart enough to design the front cam to be placed below the hood lock. We would always choose this safety item first. Both this and the Mopar gas ignition lock work without issue. So that is positive.
With the Mopar lock you cannot ride around with the hood closed and unlocked. You can take the key out when the hood is open though. Once you close the hood it’s locked again. So the dealer is correct. I just installed this today and that’s how it works.

Thanks. Here’s a look at their locking mechanism. Image 1 has the lock in what would be the engaged position. The arrows indicate where a sort of peg protrudes from a cylinder to engage a shelf. Image 2 is with the peg retracted, ie lock is disengaged. The lock action is very smooth.

Heres the issue with these "locks"....you can just unscrew the binding bolt on the hinge and gain access....
