Hello all
I am upgrading my 2024 2 door Rubicon X and going with 37" tires. I am torn between either Teraflex beadlocks or the Mopar beadlock capable wheels. My main concern is how well they balance for highway use (I realize they are not DOT compliant) . At least the Mopar I can mount standard DOT compliant, but they have been on order for a month and I can't wait much longer. What do you all think of the Teraflex wheels?

I wouldn’t put 37’s on the factory wheels.

Do you crawl with 5 psi in the tires? If not, there is no reason to have bead locks.

I bought factory XR beadlock capable wheels with the intention of getting beadlock rings.

Mopar rings were priced at like $125 per at the time but were sold out everywhere. Now they are priced much much higher (and still sold out) and the aftermarket compatible rings are north of $250 per.

Let that factor into your decision if you buy Mopar wheels without the beadlock ring included.

I have had the mopar beedlocks since I purchased my 2 dr jlr and had to wait on them but it was worth it. They look great and balance with no problems. The dealer did a great job mounting and balancing them.

I guess I will just wait for the Mopar wheels to come in. Been on order for a month so hopefully not too much longer.

I think you will be glad you did. I got the beed locks along with the mopar off road lights with the winch bar guard included when I ordered the jeep.

I went with the Mopar beadlocks. I got the beadlock rings off of eBay for $560 - they pop up on there every now and then. If you can find rings, they seem to work well although there are lighter options. I went this route since I already had the wheels on the XR package.

Method bead grips. Most of the benefits of bead locks, much lighter, much cheaper, DOT legal and balance like a dream.

Nice looking jeep. The mopars are also easy to clean.

If you don’t change your tires a lot make sure you put antisieze on the bolts.

that's not quite half a statement, so not sure if you're trolling.

if what you mean is you wouldn't put 12.5" wide tires (because most 37s are 37x12.5) on a standard stock wheel because it's too narrow, you should know that the Mopar Beadlock wheel being discussed here is an inch wider than at least most lower-end 17" factory wheels (and 1.5" wider when the tire is mounted in true beadlock configuration).
however, the Mopar Beadlock wheels have also came stock on some JL(U)s as part of the XR package and others, so they might be considered "factory wheels".

that said, i've been running 37(x12.5s) on the Mopar Performance Beadlock wheel for a couple of years already; they work fine.
i did not care for the way the 37(x12.5s) fit on the standard 7" width Moab wheel in my application, but it wasn't as much about the width of the tire as it was about the rubbing i had on the LCAs with the narrower 'Euro' D44s on my Willys. the Mopar Beadlock wheels have a different backspacing and moved all that out away from the LCAs a tad for more clearance.

i had the Functional Beadlock Ring on order for over a year with promises that they were always about a month away until my local dealer (and favorite parts guy) closed up and shut down. now, as mentioned already, they are listed as more than twice as expensive, and apparently unobtanium.
i'm still hoping to find a set.

Nice looking rig, are those 37's?

There is a complete set of rims with both cosmetic and true bead lock rings on ebay. Maybe he will sell rings only? 2024 Jeep Wrangler Gladiator Rubicon SRT 392 Extreme Recon Beadlock Wheels Rims | eBay

Do I understand you ordered new oem wheels from the dealer, how much are they running you?
