Can some folks please give me some thoughts and opinions on Barricade products? Specifically bumpers, and swing out tire carriers?

They seem to be reasonably priced, ans simple designs, wondering what the quality is...
Thanks for reading...

Bumper is relatively good, from my experience. Fog light install was a PITA.

I bought a Barricade bumper for my Tj about 5-6 years ago. The bumper was fine but the powder coating started flaking off in less than 6 months. They may have corrected this by now though. I would also be mindful of the thickness of the steel, I prefer 3/16".

A year of use on my front bumper now and no signs of rust or the finish wearing down. Can't speak on it for the long term, but for the price I'm happy so far.

I'll have to check into that, I think I'd rather get bare metal, powder coating near the ocean doesn't seem to hold up on much of anything with the salty air..

I've had Barricade bumpers on a JK and a JL so far. (none currently). The first one had lots of problems with paint coming off and rusting. The JL one I really didn't have on long enough to see any issues although the fog lights were a pita. With bumpers, you usually get what you pay for. Cheap bumpers have crappy welds, bad "powdercoating" (paint) and possible install problems.

Ah, the killer...thanks for saving me from "too good to be true", I'm planning on bashing them, so we'll see, maybe I'll go into it thinking that when they rot I'll replace....

I've bought their frame mounted sliders twice. No complaints at all; fitment is great & powdercoating is as good as you could possibly expect for the price.

I have 50k miles with the aluminum front and no complaints. No hardcore crawling but it’s winched me a few times and scraped through a few tight spots. The powder coat has held up well so far

It’s cheap because of Chinese steel; that said, all your bargain parts will be likewise. Think Rough Country, Rugged Ridge, and the catalog brands (Q and ET). This does not make it bad by any means, as I am rocking the Arcus bumpers and they have been very good.
