Plugs 1 and 2 go directly in the back of the lamps. Cut as much or as little of those leads that you need to reach your aux systems hookup point.

3 (inline fuse), 4 (relay), and 5 (toggle switch) are inly necessary when installing in a vehicle that doesnt already have an aux switch system.

Wait, the lights plug directly to the factory aux? What about battery connection?
Is factory aux already powered?

If you have the factory tow package, it includes the 4 aux switch panel, which is already set up with fuses and relays. All that's needed from the wire harness pictured in my post that you quoted, are the plugs for the lamps and enough wiring to reach the passenger side front inner fender area. That's where the aux switch wiring bundle is located. Simply find the single wire that's color coded to the switch of your choice and butt connect or solder the hot (+) lamp wire to it. The ground (-) lamp wire can be connected to one of the ground studs on the inner fender via a crimped/soldered eyelet. That's it. No need to clutter the main battery terminals.

just to add some more clarity on this as just went through install, I have AUX switches and I cut right where the red line is on this pic, white cable is for the light, black cable is for ground, yellow cable needs to be manually added to the harness on Pin #3 per BD instructions.
