I’m about to pull the trigger in some wheels to mount some 315/70R17 BFG ATs on. I don’t mind them poking out a bit but don’t want like 2+ inches of tire sticking out. If I go with the +12 offset will that give me good clearance on/off-road or do I need to go with the -12. I’m putting the RC 2.5 spacer lift on for reference.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
With that lift and the narrower Sport axles you'll want that -12, For a Rubicon or a narrower tire you could go w/ that +12. Under full suspension flex w/ that additional suspension travel (from the added lift) you will typically have some contact to the inside.

Definitely go with -12 offset if you want room to flex and turn.
