My ‘21 JLUR’s reverse lights are really dim… was backing out of a friend’s long driveway and could barely see where I was going. Never had this problem in any other vehicle.
I’m 57 and maybe my darkness vision is going bad, but I don’t think so!
Anyone else having this issue? Is it just normal on a Wrangler?
Any recommended fixes?
Thanks ??

I assume you have the LED light package. They are far dimmer than they should be. I and many others added auxiliary backup lights to compensate.

The reverse lights suck, known issue. See a couple of related threads below.

Your vision could still be going bad though...

I put LED lights in my Quadratec bumper, perhaps you could put them in your stock bumper if you plan on retaining it.

Thanks for finding those threads! I need to get better at finding them!

I’ve got the LED package and have already been looking into some auxlights that can be wired directly in with the reverse lights so they turn on just by shifting into reverse.
Thanks again!

Thats basically what I did, I also wired them to my aux switch so I can turn them on when hooking a trailer.
