Hello all,

I just bought myself a 20 JLU sport … :(

I am trying to find myself a set of take off axles . I see a lot of people selling the rear but not the front. Went to the dealer to find crate axles but they informed me that they are both discontinued.

Am I missing something here or am I just SOL.

Thanks for any feedback,
Robert

Ask Benny @AllMoparParts.com . Discontinued doesn’t make sense, they are still being used and replacement parts supplied for 10 years.
Could be cheaper than the dealer anyway, if available.

If you're going to buy new, look into the aftermarket. They're stronger than Mopar parts by quite a bit. And they may not cost a whole lot more. I haven't looked at costs recently but when I was looking there was maybe a 20-40% premium for aftermarket axles. Given how much stronger they are, it was a no-brainer.

I really don’t need or want 60s or tons , and 13k for fusion axles is a little out of my budget. I am working with about 5k ish at the moment. I am gonna give that company a ring to see what they say.

my 18 came with a dana 44 with lsd in the rear ( standard with a manual I think ) Do you have the 44 or 35 in the rear? I was thinking about just getting a Narrow width Dana 44 aftermarket when the time is right. Maybe one day i will get 1tons and 40s =) stock jeep is still really capable. you can find them on ebay if you want a front and a rear take off from different sellers. get them installed at a shop or DYI if you can. If you have 5k to work with - wait and save more money to get a good Dana 44 front axle.

took me a bit of time to find my take off axles. but give your local 4x4 shops a call. they almost always have axles from customers sitting around for a good deal

there are a lot on facebook marketplace in the san francisco to sacramento area - some really nicely built ones down to stock take offs
Haha I’m from PA there are two m220 on market place that are in 100 miles from me and they are asking 900$ with missing parts. But no one is selling the front axle.

I'm not suggesting tons. You can find 44s that aren't overkill in the aftermarket.
