2018 (late) 3.6 w/ ESS. Pulled F42 fuse and isolated what I believe the AUX cable at the battery post. But I'm fighting a head cold and a virus eating my brain. There's Robitussin involved.

But how can I tell I'm not starting off the AUX and I isolated the MAIN?

Well for one those are negative battery cables and one is a chassis ground and the other one runs to the aux battery...

Trace the cable you disconnected and if it runs to the passenger fender as the ground then you know you disconnected the wrong one.

Thanks boys. I tried tracing but like the link said, can only feel cables back about 6" then they take a dive. But the link did explain it well and the one cable I had sealed up was the AUX negative cable. This virus in my head took all my self-assurance away. Especially with at least 330CCA ready to run up my arm or up my electricals. I just needed that little extra proof of concept.

About a 3" heat shrink tube shrunk down and then I heated the needle nose pliers and crimped the end flat. Cut off excess. I know its overengineered but at least it's outta my mind.
