. These windows go up with over 80 pounds of force and can be very dangerous without auto reverse that meets federal safety standards.
This is why auto-up is difficult...a force sensor is required to prevent injuring a person or pet when blocking its travel. The driver’s window on my ‘16 Colorado would stop mid-way up when cold due to some minor binding causing a “sensed” end-of-travel.

Geeeeez, maybe it is cause of my advanced age..... but all I can think about in regard to this offering is personal liability, liability, liability..... losing my homes.... killing a toddle.r or....

Knowingly installing a product with safety issues like this one leaves you wide open so to speak.. and no your insurance carrier will not have your back..

Sure it would be nice to have now..... but I'd wait.. wait for an offering that meets federal safety standards.... such an offering will eventually hit the market..

All 4, one touch up and down. And key FOB control too.
The only thing that I wish that it did was

Well, there IS a manual safety feature....if you need to stop the window, just hit the down button and it stops and goes down. There is that. LOL.

@TimR

Unfortunately, by the time you hear the whimper of a toddler or yelp of your pet dog, the trachea is crushed... and.... well.... 8-( so much for your manual button press...

I'll post no more here... I'm all for an offering like this .... but again, this one should be passed on in it's present form... it's unsafe.... Hope this back and forth here, helps to save some toddler... or at the least a dog...

You drive me crazy on the forums. :) But I will add this, if you have the window switch for Rear Control turned off, the rear windows are excluded from auto down/up operation, including on Key FOB lock/unlock operations. So if you have kids or dogs, and your are not particularly a "pay attention" type of guy, just flip the switch to "off" to cover yourself. I have neither, so I am good.

I just installed this. Works great and as advertised. I do not have any children to worry abut, but it definitely does not have a safety feature.
Same boat. No pets or children. A young child has ridden in my Jeep once. I used the child lock and window lock feature even though his parent was in the back seat with him, just because I didn’t want him screwing with the cool window switch that’s not on the door. Crisis averted.

Have you verified whether the window lockout switch still works?

I just went out to the Jeep. When the window lockout switch is flipped, the rear controls don't work as expected. And the switches in the Front work like they do from the factory; no auto down or up functionality. Turning the window lockout switch back off, the front controls gain auto up/down functionality. The rear switches work as they should from the factory.

Thanks. This product is perfect for a childless, pet free owner like me. No practical safety risk from installing it. Now I’m going out to rip out my ABS system so I can shave some weight and stop shorter using my amazing braking skillz!

I screwed around and didn’t but the module on Amazon, now it’s unavailable. Dammit! Does anyone know where else to find the module from post #118?
