Hello,

I have the ARB Twin compressor with the Kraken mount. Unfortunately, something happened to the harness (part number 180414) and specifically the 18g ground wire. I needed to replace that wire and I used a 12g wire for ground instead of 18g. I added the two grounds to a new ring terminal like it was previously wired. I have it all rewired besides adding the terminal pin. My two questions are:

1. Will there be any issues using the 12g instead of the 18g?

2. does anyone know what type of pin is used for the harness plug (pictured below)? Is my best bet ordering it from Amazon or can it be sourced in a store somewhere?

I’m trying to avoid buying a whole new harness for $120 after shipping. So far, besides the pin I had all the wire, terminals and new sheathing on hand. So if this will work it’ll be a $10 fix instead of $120

1. A larger ground wire will not hurt a thing

2. Take that connector pin down to your local auto parts store and see if they can find a replacement for you. I definitely would not buy a whole new harness. Should be able to find a connector somewhere.

I have the Kraken and ARB twin. Love the set up.

I’ve tried two auto parts stores and two smaller hardware stores without luck.

I know using larger ground is ok, but will it matter since the other end of the connector (coming off the compressor itself) is mated with 18g?

Thank you for the info.
