So I ran my compressor this morning, it hit the pressure stop and it stopped for about 2 seconds, and then began stuttering on and off. Not like when it's refilling the system, but its like it was just twitching. After about 3 seconds of doing that it just starts running. So I turn the switch off thinking it'll stop it, but it continues. So it seems that it decided to by pass the purple signal wire and just run at all times.

I checked the switchbox, Voswitch JL300, it seems fine, everything else wired to it turns off after ignition is cut, tried wiring it to another relay and no dice. With the jeep off the compressor still does its own thing, I then started checking the wiring and it all seems fine too.

So that leaves me wondering if it's a solenoid inside the compressor or a relay. Are these things easily swappable or do I need to send it to ARB to do anything?

Can you take the switch out of the equation? Just disconnect all the switch wires and run a temp wire off the purple to the positive terminal and just touch it to the battery.

Even with the switch disconnected it gives me the middle finger and just stays running the moment the power harness is attached to the battery.

And you bypassed everything besides the pos and neg to the battery?

Yup, gonna test the relays while I wait for the new ones to ship. Said screw it to buy the pressure switch too just in case.

I’m assuming it’s a relay since it just wants to keep on going. It had been acting funny when I use the compressor but I thought it was cause of the weather or something.

Can you check if the Red-Yellow on the switch harness is shorted with another wire (most likely battery positive)?

The pressure switch seems to work as it should: it stops the compressor when it reaches 90psi, then you have an air-leak somewhere that lowers the pressure, and so on.

Two switches
Main power. I guess you found it is ok
Pressure. Replace it and report back
I’m suspecting the pressure switch or one of the relays. I went ahead and ordered a new switch and new relays. Should arrive tomorrow.
