Anyone using Rough Country Diff Skid Plate?

Which oil pan/transmission skid were you running that made contact with the front differential skid?

I know this is an old thread, but my RC M210 frond diff skid is making contact with my Artec aluminum engine skid, even with a 2" AEV spacer lift on top of my 2026 Rubicon X already taller springs and bump stop tower.

At first it would hit any time I hit even my ~1" driveway to road bump at anything above 8 MPH (but only if hit head on, never if hit at an angle one wheel before the other). I did some hand filing of the bracket/clamp that goes over the front diff, and it got much better, but still hit driving fast >12MPH over a speed bump. Took a grinding wheel to it and took good amount of metal from the bracket. Still hitting if I hit a speedbump at >20MPH while braking (I know, my Jeep is only 1 month old, and I haven't taken it off road, so I'm testing everything on speed bumps and flexing on parking lot rocks ).

So tomorrow I will see where it is still hitting and grind some more. I also may turn my adjustable trackbar one turn to give it maybe another 1/32" of room - don't want to do any more as my axle is centered just fine.

If that does not solve it, I may need to remove these diff skids - would be a shame, they seem really nice - people talk s$#@ about RC, but their metal stuff is great in my opinion.

Forgot to ask, those having these front diff skids contact their engine skid found a solution? Thx.

Thanks. At least is it holding up? Does it require retightening periodically? Did it do it's job well taking hits?

Cat, they are holding up very well! I haven’t checked to see if the bolts need tightening (I guess I better - thanks!), and I’ve beat both up pretty good with no issues, both here in FL on tree stumps, etc, and out in AZ on rocks.
