Tempe is hot, but not necessarily humid? Have you had issues with using this during the summer? I'm trying to wrap my head around usage in a hot AND humid area.
Not at all. I park my jeep outside, and it has gotten well over 150* in the sun. The hose will get cold, but I dont think I have had it freeze up on me. On humid days (35%), it will get ice on the hose and regulator, but that's about it. I dont run air tools with my Co2, and only use it for filling tires, and blowing dust out of my jeep, and off myself.

High heat (lord help us if we ever get YOUR kinda heat) I understand, but high humidity I think is where my concern lies (at least how my friend explained it). He described a ball of ice on the regulator pretty much ending use until it melted away.

The worst I ever got was a frosted air hose and regulator. Maybe under extreme use, but that shouldn't happen airing up tires.

Mind, my "150*" was the temp of the jeep itself. Ambient temp was around 120*

I'm contemplating options. I bought a Viair 400p to use this weekend. If it does well (or at least well enough), I may build a 4 way tire inflation system (about $100) to make airing up 4 tires a little less painful (still takes the same amount of time, but I don't have to switch between tires).

I've got all the parts in a wish list on Amazon to do co2 and it does sound more "convenient". I've found a place nearby that'll refill a 15# co2 container for $18. I can live with that as I would only need to have it filled every couple of months or so. We'll wheel more during the spring / summer, but winter....not so much.

I snagged a new Smittybilt 2747 10lb CO2 tank system off eBay in October for $174 shipped. Here is one with make an offer at $250 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Smittybilt...014932&hash=item1a8bd4a74f:g:ohwAAOSw3vpd9Qdc

Just looked on Northridge 4x4 (https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/co2/2747-smittybilt-comp-air-10gal-c02-air-system). They have it for $236 and no tax and free shipping. Honestly, given the cost of a a tank alone ($100 new), this isn't a bad price. The handle alone is hard enough to find and it's $50 when I can find it.

I can have it filled for $15 down the street from me.

I have a DIY 20# system that I've used for tires, air lockers, and air tools for 20 years. I keep a 5# tank as a back up.

I bought a regulator on ebay and built my own system with a 15 lb tank. When the local welding supply raised their price to fill to $35, I stopped filling it. Saving a few minutes when inflating wasn't worth the nearly $8 per fill.
