Anyone using the Ecoflow Glacier? It checks all the boxes for me, but Im trying to figure out if the handles are removable. It appears with the handles on, its 30.6", which I do not think will fit in my JLU.

@Casey250 I watched your review here. but you don't mention if those handles are removable. Also wondering what you think of the fridge now.

It fits right behind the seats just fine (horizontally). Plenty of extra room horizontally.

It also fits turned sideways (vertically) on the passenger side.

it would fit on the driver side (vertically) if you removed 1 handle.

I have used my Glacier on one three-day camping trip so far. I folded down the driver's-side rear seat on my JLU and set the Glacier there with the handles on. Getting it in was a bit of a struggle, given its size and weight (and my advanced age) but I did it. That position let me access its contents without having to dig through stuff in the back and it was close to the 12V outlet in the back. Speaking of the 12V, I have the optional battery for the Glacier. The Jeep apparently does not source enough 12V current to run the Glacier without a little help from the battery when the engine is off. On the drive home from camping, the Glacier battery completely recharged though.

I've also run the Glacier on the battery as a drink cooler for block parties and on 110V until we could replace an old dorm-style refrigerator that died.

I run the Ecoflow Glacier with the Delta 2Max in the back of my 2dr with backseat removed. The Delta 2Max is sandwiched between the back of the driver’s seat and the Glacier. The handle on the Glacier sits on top of the Delta holding it down so it isn’t going anywhere.

Also installed the Ecoflow alternator charger so now it a simple charging set up as it is hardwired to the Jeep battery. 800w of charging power when engine is on!

where did you pass your alternator charger cable into the body of the Jeep?

Ive been meaning to provide an update on this post. I did wind up getting the Glacier (present from my wife last Christmas). I really didn't start using it until the spring though. It does fit in the Jeep if you remove the handles (only 1 is needed, but I removed both). I actually replaced the handles with these Ford Bronco Grab Handles. Works great.

That said... I started having issues with it for the first time this weekend and after doing some research it does not appear to be an isolated incident. I went on a mountain biking trip and the fridge was loaded up. There was 70% battery when I put it in the Jeep. That normally would be more than enough for an entire day and would last at least until the next day for sure. However, when I load it in the Jeep, I hook it up to the 12v port in the back anyway. My total driving time to the mountain is about 4hrs. This would've charged the fridge to 100% or damn close. When we arrived, it was down to 68% and most of our stuff was either frozen or close to it (fridge set to 40F). I then noticed that the LCD on the fridge showed it was intermittently starting/stopping charging. I pulled the battery and plugged the fridge in directly to the 12v and it seemed to stay on without issue. The battery I tried charging via USB via the built in port and it seemed to be working. We didn't want to waste any more time playing with it and wanted to get riding, so I put the battery back in and off we went. By end of our riding session, the fridge was completely dead about 6hrs later. Everything was extremely cold or frozen, so it wasnt a big deal making it home.

Today, I plugged it in to the AC charger and it charged the battery all the way up to 100%. I put some 2 liter sodas in there for a party we were having. I noticed that even at 40 degrees, the compressor was not turning off and the fridge was constantly running. I pulled the plug to let it run on battery. About 2 hrs later it was down to like 58% and the soda was starting to freeze over. At that point, I unplugged it took everything out. After our party I started googling around and it seems this is a known issue. There are mixed reviews in regards to their customer service. Some people have reported good results with them shipping out a replacement unit (it was noted that they send refurbs, but I think thats pretty normal in the electronics world). However, even though they provide a return shipping label, they will not ship first. So you are responsible for sending it back first, which requires sourcing a giant box and properly packing it up. Luckily for me, I saved the box. I will report back on my experience with their customer service.

Down from the battery terminals, through the frame rail and up through the plug in front of the front pax seat, under the carpet and behind the pax seat. I have my ARB twin compressor under that seat as well. Crowded but it works and is slick.

Nice. Easy to get to, crowding aside. I ran mine thru the driverside firewall under the trim seal and out into the csrgo area behind the back seat. Am debating mountin on side wall or getting a rack and mounting underside. That cBle is super thick
