Anyone going to Easter Jeep Safari this year? My calendar may be freeing up around that time so I was thinking of signing up for Pritchett Canyon, Cliffhanger, and Behind the Rocks on March 29, 30, and 31, respectively. May stay an extra day and add another trail. Sign up starts on the 20th.

I feel like there's a good chance of some snow happening this year at EJS since it's so early. I was in Moab last year the week before EJS on April 3rd and hit a huge snowstorm on the way out to Utah and then snow on our first day wheeling.

Should make for an interesting event for sure.

Good info. I'll see what I actually get into when registration opens. If I don't get Pritchett I may just skip this year.

I've never heard of Hotel Rock, 3D Pickle or Devil's Racetrack. 3D Pickle isn't even listed on Trailsoffroad. How difficult is the trail?

I've never done 3D Pickle before. It is rated 7 for difficulty. I've seen YouTube videos of it and it looks like it will be challenging and fun.

Hotel Rock is 90 miles south of Moab and a little west of Blanding, UT. I did the trail decades ago in a 1997 TJ and thought it was fun. It is rated 5 for difficulty, and the main feature of the trail is a large Indian dwelling from the Anasazi period. The dwelling is large enough that they call it a "Hotel". I want to see it again, and since it is so remote I thought doing it with a group at the EJS would be a good idea.

Devils Racetrack is a trail in the San Rafael Swell area of UT, and starts 40 miles west of Green River, UT (Total distance is 91 miles northeast of Moab). It is rated 5 for difficulty and has spectacular views of some of the best scenery in UT. I have done the trail 3 times in an ATV or UTV, but never in a Jeep. I want to try it in my Jeep this year. Here is a picture from a UTV trip.

To show typical scenery on the trail, here is a picture of Coal Wash, which is part of the EJS trail they will be running. I have done this with my Jeep (obviously, see picture), but I haven't done the Devils Racetrack part of the trail in a Jeep. When I was on the Coal Wash trail in my Jeep, I wanted to do Devils Racetrack that day, but the others in our group thought it would be "too hard". 🙄

Looks like it should be a fun trip then. Looking forward to seeing some pics of it.
