Any experience with Mastertop Fastback Soft Top?

Thanks for posting about the knobs. I was going to install mine this weekend and decided to check the knobs. All 8 were the same size so I called to get the 4 shorter ones sent to me. Hopefully they'll get here by the weekend.

You may be OK with all 8 long. The front 4 knobs may protude slightly above the surround mount.

For me the bestop looks too bulky when folded down and has too much hardware cluttering up the inside. The frameless fastback is so much more appealing...and at 1/2 the price of the bestop, the Mastertop wins hands down.

I chose the Fastback Mastertop for similar reasons. Very minimal hardware, but still opens up completely so all seats front/back can get sun.

It's a simple one handed operation to open up for front 2 seats, but more work to fold all the way back to be completely open front/back. However, 99% of the time I only open the front.

I went ahead and tried to install the top with the knobs I had. They worked for most of the front surrounds but were not long enough for the rear. One of the brackets on the front surround had an issue. The knob would go in for about a turn then stop as if the bracket was cross threaded. The same knob would work fine in the other bracket. With all sounds off, I checked the threads on all brackets and found one more that was that way. There was also an incorrect bracket on the passenger front surround. It was too long. It was about two inches above the top of the roll bar when installed.

Mastertop today said they are reviewing the pictures I sent and hope to give me a tracking number next week. Aside from those issues, I’m happy with the quality of the materials.

I would prefer the top had no issues, but when I call Mastertop, someone answers the phone and they are friendly. I ordered my top back in June just after it was released. The issues I am having may just effect the tops made back then.

Went for a trail ride today with the new mastertop installed.

Note: I'm still waiting for longer surround knobs from mastertop, so I'm using some longer compatible bolts from the hardware store for now.

I received and installed the longer door surround knobs this week. The top is working out extremely well. I'm also very happy with the Mastertop customer service. It's so nice when real people answer the phone and resolve customer issues.

Waiting for some more sunny weather to take/share pictures.

I finally received my backordered Mastertop Fastback soft top from Quadratec and installed it this weekend. I absolutely love it! The quality is great and it is pretty easy to open up both rows. I just need to figure out how to best store the windows in the jeep so I can put them on if it rains. I love the fastback look and like how there isn't a lot of hardware needed in the back of the jeep. Here are a couple of pics

Feeling the pressure to produce some pictures here

It's been too cool and drizzling lately so no new "sunny day" pics. I took a quick picture at the gas station if that helps. I'll do better soon

Edit - however, I can say it does not leak even during a heavy rain storm!
