I'm looking to lift my 20 JLU Sahara and have been reading through a lot of posts on here and then hitting up manufacturer websites and reading information. There's a piece that seems to be common and that is that most lift are designed based on the Rubicon and generally fitted and tested on Rubicon with steel aftermarket bumpers.
I guess I did things backwards and got my steel bumpers put on first (no winch yet), so as I am reading about these different makers and their measurements, I questioned rather I am thinking about this correctly.
Let's say my Sahara sagged 1" due to the weight of the steel bumpers. If I am looking at a manufacturer who says their 2.5" kit will not sag with steel bumpers, am I correct that to compare it to my Sahara currently, I would need to add the 1" lost when I installed the bumpers plus the 2.5" from the lift? Am I not basically resetting to factory height and then lifting an additional amount?
Probably overthinking, but wanted to verify.
