I changed the bumpers out on my Jeep roughly 2 years ago. The paint has mostly held up, but I've got some spots that are starting to rust. Having it dipped isn't an option at this point. What would be my other options? Take it off and repaint it? Line X/Rhino line it?
Not a fan of Cerakote. Prepped all the surfaces as instructed and really well, used the wipes and everything either streaked (but there was no running residue on the parts when I checked it) or didn't actually get into the pores of the plastic. There are spots on my Jeep that look like their...
That's what I figured, but asking to make sure. Trying to pick the right height, so knowing where I am, where I will be "starting" from and end up are all things I'm trying to gauge.
I'm looking to lift my 20 JLU Sahara and have been reading through a lot of posts on here and then hitting up manufacturer websites and reading information. There's a piece that seems to be common and that is that most lift are designed based on the Rubicon and generally fitted and tested on...
Basic off road stuff, no rocks per se. Already has 33”, probably not going taller immediately. Steel bumpers front and rear installed, will add a winch. Really leaning towards the Clayton 1.5”. But still researching a couple other options.
Probably have most of the tools but the lifts/jacks.
Looking to lift add a small lift to my Jeep. Looking at Teraflex, Clayton and a couple others. Unfortunately, I don't have the equipment or the faith in myself to do this on my own even though I'd really like to. Anyone in NC who wants to volunteer their Jeep knowledge and understanding, I'm...
Thanks guys. We went out to eat some dinner tonight and when we got back to the Jeep, everything had come back to life but the off-road apps. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
Switched my front 3.5 inch speakers today. Seem to be working fine. However I disconnected the battery before installing and reconnected it after the install. Now I don’t have my Offroad Pages, can’t change the temperature on the air conditioning, and have lost my back up camera.
Any suggestions?
I've tried the fade forward and it goes from nothing to too much. Even then, it shifts clarity forward, but the rear becomes a worse mangled mess of goo.
My issue, even with the top down isn't volume, it's a lack of anything other than thump. I can get the volume, but I can't get the clarity.
GATOR, you have any personal suggestions? I called Crutchfield and he suggested a very similar Kenwood set up with 6.5s in the knee and 1" on the dash. That didn't quite seem right to me, but I'm not an audio expert - just know what's missing and where to my ear.
Looked at the Quart one too. Considering the head unit, but the only one I’d consider is the new Alpine I-509 made for the JL/JT. That’s a tough one to swallow due to price, but it keeps all the functionality from the current HU.
I've read a lot of threads on here regarding the Alpine, as well as the non-Alpine, systems and various upgrades that people have done. I'm looking to get my music crisper and less mushy, as well as move some of it to the front dash as opposed to it sounding like all of it comes from behind me...
