The last time a coolant line went pop I was able to coast the jeep a block and then pushed it into my complex. But man this time I was a mile away, so close yet so far. Going to start keeping spares in the back once i found out which connector/hose is the culprit along with a coolant bottle, but in the 6 years that i’ve owned, the cooling system has been the most unreliable part of

Going to fill it up and run it and try to see where it’s leaking from but on initial inspection it looks like it’s coming/came from one of the heater core lines. Lovely spot behind the block, lot of a space to see and work on it back there.

Hey all, update, indeed was the heater core line again. This time the hose popped near the bottom of the line. I replaced it in January 2024 so not even 2 years since then which makes me wonder if it’s a heat issue, or a material issue or pressure issue.

How many of yall have gone through them popping like mine?

Update:

Changing this hose costs 3 beer and $60. This one was changed last in January 2024, and my coolant reservoir changed around the same time too. So i’ve got a spare reservoir in the trunk and hose ready for my road trip to texas lol
