- It is not nearly as hard as some make it out to be. Yes, the "instruction" manual sucks. Just watch some videos.
- If you're nimble enough you can save some time by not cutting the rivets and pulling back the fender liner. I have a stock heigh Rubicon with 35" tires and was easily able to get through the firewall with a hanger. Just rolled under on the creeper.
- The dreaded orange wire. I spent TWO hours trying to get that wire out. I have dozens of pin removal tools, none of them worked. I was afraid I was going to break something else. I finally gave up and grabbed the smallest screwdriver I had and just shoved it out. Moral of the story, don't be afraid to put some force into removing that wire.
- Use a small tool to push the AUX orange wire into the sock connector, through the blue rubber from behind. That was much easier than using needle nose pliers.
- One of the best tips that I dug up on the forum was to skip the connector between the stock orange wire and the AUX switch orange wire. Just plug them in and tape them up. The connector is just a waste of time PITA.
- If you have an ESS warning light after the install, It is most definitely the orange wire connection
- Buy some zip ties. The ones that come with the kit are horrible
- Triple check your wire locations when wiring up the buttons. You don't want to have to remove those things after they are clipped in
