First post. Recently in my 2020 JL Rubicon, when connected to Android Auto via the USB-C input port, audio only plays on the right rear speaker.

I can unplug and plug in my phone many times and it will eventually play out of all 4 speakers. But most 95% of the time it's acting up. I have a pixel 4a running Android 11. I've tried with a brand new cable but it suffers the same. Bluetooth audio works fine.

Anyone else experience this?

I'm wondering if the port itself could be faulty.

I will also note that volume control does not work when it's doing this.

Mine was acting up. Used JScan to reboot the radio and all started working again.

On my JT using CarPlay, the announcements only play on the left side.
Anyone else happen to notice this?

I have noticed this as well, but not as often as you have. I have noticed that for me it's triggered by things like navigation announcements. Events that are supposed to fade out the music for the announcement then fade it back in. It's just that sometimes the fade in doesn't happen. Usually another announcement or at worst case, a full stop / wait for displays to shut off / restart will fix it. I also do use my tazer to do a full reboot when the radio is at it's worst.

I just don't know who to blame... Google (my phone) or uConnect. Either could be the source of this issue... or both.

Had that happen to me, a few times. Usually I unplug the USB cable from the phone and restart Android Auto and it's back to normal. Consider it an Android Auto glitch more than Jeep issue.

If you just press the power button for the stereo and turn it off and on again real quick, it will fix itself. Mine does that pretty frequently.

This has been the best trick so far.

Happened to me a number of times. Radio on and off works...also the music when not playing correctly isn't playing with any fildelity. And the skip song controls dont work either. The radio sometimes freezes too...YUK!
