Anderson Plug Mount for 2" receiver hitch

In the front of my JL I have a 2" receiver hitch and I've connected some heavy duty cables to the main battery at whose other end lies a loose Anderson plug.

I'd like to mount the plug to the receiver hitch, not unlike this mount--presumably for a rear hitch--which mounts a 4 pin trailer wire connector. Any ideas?

I'm not sure I fully understand the question.

It sounds like you are looking to mount the 4 pin harness not exactly like the photos and not at the rear of your jeep. You want to mount a 4 pin at or near the hitch receiver, which is at the front of your jeep, correct?

No...not a 4 pin trailer harness, a 2 pin Anderson Connector. It looks like this:

I want to mount an Anderson Plug at or near the hitch receiver, which is at the front of my jeep. It is thicker than a 4 pin which is why the linked hardware in my original post of this thread probably won't work.

Saw that Terry in my searching and like, thanks. Definite candidate.

Small piece of 1/8 plate. Bolt Anderson plug to it. Weld to hitch or bolt to hitch.

Seems easy enough, I would do something like what GtX suggested. A small plate or angled steel to weld on or you could use aluminum if you're going to drill & tap/bolt it on.

I love small projects like this, I envy you, my friend.
