Several threads about speedometer needle indication problems along with similar RPM indication problems. My gauge cluster was replaced due to speedometer and RPM indication problems. Work with your dealer for a fix and search the forum for cruise control and speedometer issues

I've experienced the same thing on two occasions. Once while using cruise control the other just last week without. When the offset is there it remains even when parked but goes away when I stop and restart the vehicle. I'm keeping and eye out for a pattern so I can understand better what's going on before having the dealer address it.

This happens with mine as well. Appears to be random and happens when I start, as I can see analog gauge not return to 0 but hover a bit above.

Hi traviswalker007,
I can see how this would be frustrating. If you choose to have your dealer look into this, please send us a private message with your VIN and current mileage so we can have the documented for further handling.

I will but it seems to be a random issue not sure if its worth wasting time at a dealership they tend to diagnose issues at there own pace and after spending that kind of money on a jeep I kinda wanna drive it. If there has been other issues then maybe jeep care or whoever needs to issue a TSB at some point so customers are not stranded while a dealer takes there sweet time.

is this how jeep cares documents stuff?? my 60,000.00 Rubicon has a yellow grill!!

Hi, my name is Ethan with Jeep Customer Care, How may I help you today?
chatAgent.png
Ethan: Hello Tony how can I assist?
chatEndUserMessage.png
Tony Walker: my jl white rubicon front grill is turning yellow
chatEndUserMessage.png
Tony Walker: i should say my 60,000.00 dollar jeep grill is turning yellow
chatAgent.png
Ethan: I would have to recommend you go to a dealership to find out why this is happening. If you make an appoint at a dealership and contact us back we can get a case manager involved
chatEndUserMessage.png
Tony Walker: I was just told by jeep care on the forums to contact you and open a issue, but you say i must go to dealer first? this is funny because there are hundreds of complaints on the JL forums with this issue??
chatEndUserMessage.png
Tony Walker: so is this what jeep care does just pass the issue on to a dealership when you guys know this is and has been an ongoing issue for months?
chatAgent.png
Ethan: Well I would be unable to find out what is causing this from here so we do use our dealerships to find out what is going on then we can start to look into other options
chatEndUserMessage.png
Tony Walker: Im sure you have had numerous compalints on this issue correct? and im sure you huys already know what has caused it considering you have requested customers to send the grills back for testing?
chatEndUserMessage.png
Tony Walker: this is not a random issue so not sure why you say take to dealership so they can investigate it??
chatAgent.png
Ethan: This is personally the first time I am hearing about this and I am unable to determine what the cause is and at this time I can not say if we have a fix for it. This may not be a random issue but with out the dealership looking at it we are unable to assist.
chatEndUserMessage.png
Tony Walker: wow!! typical response i will screen shot this and post on the jl forums for the jeep care rep to see. thank you for taking my 60,000.00 dollars and giving my garbage quality

Here are the pics from my speedo issue. When i first start my jeep its fine, but when i shut it off and start back up the speedo is off by 2 each time i shut it off its off by more and more. If i use remote start the speedo is always perfect to the digital dispaly????

Here's mine. I'm stopped on the side of a street and yet my speedometer show's that I'm going ~10km/h.

Iā€™ve noticed mine is off 2-3 mph. The analog is higher.

for those of you who have had this issue, is it safe to assume the digital speedometer is correct, and the analog is always the one that is off?

Have a 19 JLUR doing the same thing. When idle the needle sits at 10mph. Today while driving the needle was about 15-20mph faster than the digital readout which was accurate.
