I'm looking to buy the Morel Maximo Ultra 602 component speakers. I was wondering if I could get help with figuring out what 5-channel amp to pair the speakers with. Right now I will only be using the amp for a subwoofer and the two morel speakers but I eventually plan on adding two coaxial rear speakers with the amp.

Should I only look at amps with a RMS of 75 watts per channel? Can I get away with a 100 RMS or could that damage the speakers since they only go up to 90 watts RMS?

Am I not using my speakers to their full potential if the amp's per channel watt RMS is less than 90?

#1, don't worry about damaging the speakers if you have more watts on the amp than what the speakers are designed to handle. That's the role of the gain control on the amp. It's not a volume control either, it controls how much signal comes into the amp from the head unit. You're not going to overdrive the Morel's with a good amp. For 5 channel applications, these are what I've used in the past and what else I want to try

Kicker Iq1000.5 (built in EQ, great, great amp)

Alpine VDX-P9 (no built in EQ) - I'd probably rock this one again if I didn't have my Kicker IQ already set up. Loved this amp in my CTS-V

Rockford Fosgate T1000X5ad - Was on my list to try, specs are more than decent

Soundstream MR5.2000D - This is the amp I want to switch into my wrangler, to test for sound and durability. Also a great price point.
