AM Off Road LEDs

Can't get these things adjusted upwards to save my life. They basically point straight down and need adjusting about 12 inches up. Anyone familiar with these and have the same issues? I can manipulate the light up by placing spacers behind the bolts to artificially raise them. But, that feels sketchy to me.
