Alternative to Running Boards?

So on my latest project I was considering NOT going with running boards.

That led me to wanting to "cap" the bottom area withe some sort of black strip.

So far, I was surprised not to find anything out there. Basically, I am just looking for something (a strip) to cover the bolts along the bottom - about 1 inch or so...hopefully similar texture to the bumpers.

Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Interesting alternative to an actual rock guard. Can't find any for the 2018 yet.

Why not install rubi rock rails? They don't stick out at all.

Those look pretty good. Was surprised at price...but they are steel.

Also check craigslist and FB marketplace. I see them on there alot.
