I have two days in my 2020 JLUR and my first comment is that the Apine upgraded stereo is a bit underwhelming. I tried XM and Bluetooth (high quality Spotify) and it just seems muddy. I seem to recall that adding fill to the soundbar assisted with those upper speakers, but is there anything else low/no cost? I have things pretty much flat, which is normally how I setup my settings. I must admit that I am spoiled with an amazing HK setup in my other car, so this may just need some getting use to.

Thanks!

When I was at the Jeep Invasion in Tennessee I stopped by the Alpine booth.
I complained about the flat sound from their upgraded audio system. There was not a whole lot of concern on their part. Alpine offers a speaker upgrade for $1500.00.
Alpine has a new head unit for the JL’s. It is a 9” screen which has a seven band EG, eight auxiliary switches, trail maps with the off road functions displayed across the top of the maps. The trim around the outside of the head unit makes it look like it belongs in the Jeep.
The drawback is the price. Cost estimate is $2000.00 to $2500.00 for the head unit, $200.00 for the switch controller and a Maestro iDatalink for $149.00.
