Has anybody just installed the separate components(sub, tweeters, amp) that are in this kit without buying the whole kit. Looks like about $450 on Amazon compared to $1295. The only items missing would be the harnesses and mount for the tweeters and sub. Would just require some splicing instead of plug and play.

I have alpine pwe-s8 installed in my JL sports, I have after market radio (Android Head Unit Seicane) and it is under the passenger seat .I used the RCA connection instead of splicing the wire.
